Ram Mandir Ceremony: Chhattisgarh sent 300 metric tons of rice for Bhandara

Ayodhya Ram Mandir Ceremony: The preparations for the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya are going in full swings and the date for the same has been set for 22nd January 2024. As per various news reports, a grand Bhandara will be organised in Ayodhya on January 22, for which Chhattisgarh has reportedly sent 300 metric tons of rice on December 28.

This rice will be sent by the Rice Millers Association and will include the best variety of rice from Chhattisgarh. The state is well known for its rice varieties. As per various reports, Ayodhya Ram Mandir Committee official Champat Rai had written a letter to Chhattisgarh Rice Millers requesting them to send rice. After this, the decision to send rice was taken. For the Pran Pratistha program, devotees from across the country will reach Ayodhya.

There is a special connection between Lord Rama and Chhattisgarh that not many people do not know about! It is believed that Chhattisgarh is the maternal birthplace of Lord Ram, his mother Kaushalya was from here. There is also a grand temple of Mata Kaushalya in Chandkhuri, Chhattisgarh, where the Lord is sitting in the lap of Mata Kaushalya. This place is considered to be the maternal birthplace of Lord Ram.

It is believed that when Lord Ram went into exile, he started his journey to South India from there. At the time of Lord Ram, the place was known as Koshalpur.

The special thing is that here Lord Ram is not only worshipped as a god, but the people here also worship him as his nephew. The temple of Mata Kaushalya is said to have been built in the 10th century and is located in the middle of the white lotus-blooming pond.
