Delhi: Record breaking sale of Liquor in Capital on New Year, 41 lakh bottles sold in two days

There has been record breaking sale of liquor in Delhi on New Year. Even before the arrival of 2024, 24 lakh bottles of liquor were sold in Delhi on 31st December. Last year on December 31, about 20 lakh 30 thousand liquor bottles were sold. This means that the people of Delhi drank 20 percent more liquor this year than on December 31, 2022. This year, about 5 crore bottles of liquor were sold in the entire month of December, which is about 25 percent more than the 4 crore bottles sold in the entire month of December last year (2022). Action taken against drunk driving

A total of 189 cases of drunken driving in Delhi on December 30. The highest number of cases were reported in Badarpur, Lajpat Nagar, Sangam Vihar, Sarita Vihar and Kalkaji circle. How many cases increased compared to last year?

Let us tell you that in the year 2021, from December 16 to December 31, the total number of challans issued for drunk driving was 274, which increased to 2129 in the year 2023. Whereas, in the year 2022, 1103 challans were issued. A total of 16173 cases of drunk driving were registered this year till 31-12-2023, while 2225 cases were registered in the year 2022, 2831 in the year 2021 and 3986 cases in the year 2020.
